In the "Artwork Description" section, you must write a concise description of the work without repeating the information entered in the previous fields. To best represent the work, follow these guidelines:
Format:
- Once the description is complete, it is important to ventilate the text. You can do so by inserting lines between each paragraph to make for easier readability
- Respect the rules of English punctuation:
- Leave a space after a colon, exclamation point, question mark, and semicolon, never before
- Leave a space after using an ellipsis, never before
- Leave a space after using a comma, never before
- Do not use an ellipses after "etc", use a period. This abbreviation is always preceded by a comma (EX. blue, red, etc.) - Always write in lowercase letters, with the exception of compulsory uppercase use like the first letter of a proper name.
- Must include the proper accents for both uppercase and lowercase letters
- The ideal word count is between 100 and 250
The description:
- Do not repeat any information that has already been completed in the previous fields
Example: do not enter the dimensions, the title, or techniques used ("acrylic on canvas") unless it is new information. For example, you could say, "painting on paper, made by the artist", or "work in scrap materials", etc. - Do not mention the works condition as this information automatically appears in the first line under "About the artwork"
- Do not include "Ideal Investment", as not all collectors but to invest. This is not information that helps them to make the decision to order. Including statements like these will not be approved by our team.
