The main picture is the first image of the artwork that visitors see. It is the main picture that they can see on the website homepage, in the artwork catalogue and in the different collections that they browse on Artsper. It is also the first picture that is displayed on the artwork page.
The main picture of the artwork must be a frontal view and any margins and borders that are not part of the artwork must be cropped out. Also, the artwork must not appear skewed in this picture.
For paintings, drawings and photographs, a simulation showing the work hung in a virtual space is generated on the artwork page. If the main picture you upload contains margins or other elements that are not part of the artwork, in this simulation they will be pictured as if they were part of the work.
